A mattress discount can catch your attention quickly. Deciding whether the mattress belongs in your bedroom takes a little more thought.

Before buying a Puffy mattress, check the exact model and size, the amount you will actually pay, and what happens if the mattress does not suit you. Those details are more useful than a headline savings figure on its own.

This guide draws on Puffy’s published product and policy information. It is a buying checklist, rather than a hands-on mattress review.

1. Start with the exact mattress model

Puffy’s collection includes the Cloud memory-foam mattress and several hybrid models, including Lux, Royal, Monarch, and Legacy. Check the individual product page for the construction and specifications of the model you are considering.

Start by writing down what you want to change about your current mattress. Do you dislike its firmness? Does it feel difficult to move on? Are you replacing an old mattress, changing bed sizes, or furnishing a guest room?

Use those answers to guide your comparison. A more expensive model may include materials or features you value, but a higher price does not establish that it will feel better to you.

Descriptions such as “plush,” “supportive,” and “cooling” also need context. Treat them as starting points for research, then look for the product details behind the description. Your experience may differ from the brand’s description or another shopper’s review.

2. Check the size and foundation before ordering

Confirm the dimensions of the mattress you are buying, especially if you are also changing your bed frame or base.

Measure the bedroom and leave enough room for bedside furniture, drawers, doors, and walking space. A mattress can fit the room on paper while making the room awkward to use.

Check your existing foundation against the support requirements for the exact mattress. If you use an adjustable base, confirm compatibility before assuming that your current setup will work.

Your checklist should include:

  • The mattress’s width, length, and height.
  • The frame or base dimensions.
  • Any support or slat requirements.
  • The combined height of the mattress and foundation.
  • Access through doorways, stairs, and tight corners.

If you are unsure about compatibility, ask Puffy about your specific setup before placing the order. Keep the answer with your purchase records.

3. Compare the final price, not just the advertised savings

Make every price comparison for the same mattress model, size, and selected options. Otherwise, an attractive starting price can lead you to compare two different purchases.

At checkout, separate the items that matter to your decision:

CheckWhy it matters
Mattress price after discountsThis is the amount being charged for your chosen mattress.
Included accessoriesThey are useful only if you want or need them.
Optional servicesSetup or assembly can change the total.
Taxes and other chargesThe final payment may differ from the displayed product price.
Financing terms, if selectedCompare the total repayment and conditions, not only a monthly figure.

An advertised savings amount may be calculated against a reference price or include other components of an offer. Check what the figure represents rather than assuming it is a cash reduction available on every order.

For a coupon, apply the code and confirm the result before paying. For an automatic promotion, review the cart to see what was added or discounted. Do not assume two offers can be combined.

A useful rule: decide what you need first, then see which offer gives you the best total for that purchase.

4. Separate shipping from in-home setup

Puffy’s published shipping policy lists free shipping across all 50 US states and says it does not currently offer international delivery.

Dispatch timing is not the same as arrival timing. The policy lists different dispatch estimates for made-to-order products, including Puffy Legacy mattresses and Split Head sizes. Check the checkout estimate for your order rather than relying on a general delivery headline.

In-home setup and assembly are separate optional services, available for an additional fee in selected areas. Puffy states that the setup appointment is arranged separately after the items arrive.

Before ordering, decide who will move the delivery into the room and help with setup. If you need a particular service, confirm that it is available for your address and understand what it includes.

5. Read the sleep-trial conditions that apply to your purchase

Puffy’s current return policy describes a 365-night trial for qualifying direct purchases made on or after February 23, 2026. Earlier purchases retain their original trial terms.

For mattresses, the current policy requires at least 30 nights of use before a refund can be processed. It also sets a lifetime maximum of two mattress returns per household and requires the return right to be exercised directly with Puffy by the 365th day following delivery.

The return process can involve donation arrangements and documentation for opened items. Product-specific procedures and fees can differ, so read the terms for everything in your order.

Before paying, open the official return policy, keep a copy of the applicable terms, and note when your trial begins.

If you need to make a return, contact Puffy before arranging a shipment or donation yourself.

6. Understand what the warranty covers

A sleep trial addresses whether you want to keep the mattress under the trial conditions. Warranty coverage concerns specified product defects.

Puffy publishes a limited lifetime mattress warranty. Its terms identify eligibility, covered defects, and the claim process. The warranty page also distinguishes purchases made directly through Puffy from purchases through authorized distributors.

Read the mattress warranty terms with your intended purchase in mind. Check the support requirements, documentation, exclusions, and where to submit a claim.

Do not interpret “lifetime” as an unconditional promise covering every change in comfort or every kind of damage.

7. Make a final decision before chasing another offer

Once you have checked the model and purchase conditions, ask whether the mattress still fits your original needs and budget.

You may be ready to order if you can explain:

  • Why you selected that model and size.
  • How it fits your room and foundation.
  • What the complete order will cost.
  • How delivery and setup will work.
  • Which trial and warranty terms apply.

If an important answer is missing, resolve it before checkout. A discount is less useful when it encourages you to accept a purchase condition you do not understand.
